One exercise in reflection might be to look back at 2009 and determine how many new tellers you hired to replace those that left. With historic declines in teller transaction volumes and constant pressures to reduce operating expenses, now is the time to have the right decision-support information to make these critical decisions. When you have employee turnover, what is your decision process on replacing that person with a full-timer, part-timer, or not replacing them at all?
